Biography
Rhonda is an Assistant Professor in Occupational Therapy (OT) at the University of North Dakota (UND). Rhonda joined the UND OT department as a full-time faculty member in January 2022. Rhonda received her post-professional OT doctoral degree at St. Catherine University in May 2024. Rhonda has worked as an OT since 1993 in acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, home health, outpatient therapy, and community-based mental health. Rhonda held leadership roles for eight years for the inpatient rehabilitation hospital, inpatient interdisciplinary therapy teams, outpatient physical medicine physician clinic, short-stay orthopedics, inpatient mental health OT, and outpatient intensive mental health OT. Rhonda continues to provide mental health OT services through a collaborative agreement with the Grand Forks Housing Authority and supervises student experiential learning. In May 2025, Rhonda became the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for student Level I and Level II fieldwork experiential learning. Rhonda continues to partner with agencies within the Grand Forks community to develop mental health community-based experiential learning opportunities for UND OT students.
